By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

3. User Responsibilities

Provide accurate, current information when creating your account.
Keep your login credentials confidential and do not share them with anyone.
Use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.
Take responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, including your password and any two-factor authentication codes. Notify us immediately at info@dailyexpense.online if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses arising from your failure to secure your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or malicious purpose.
Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or any related systems.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code, except where permitted by law.
Upload viruses, malware, or any content that infringes another party's rights.
Automate access to the Service in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

6. Data Accuracy

The insights, reports and forecasts provided by the Service are generated from the data you enter. We do not verify the accuracy of your transaction entries. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information you record.

7. AI Disclaimer

Certain features use large-language-model providers (voice parsing, receipt OCR, AI Advisor). AI-generated output is provided for convenience only, may contain errors, and must not be treated as professional advice. Always verify AI suggestions against your own records before acting on them.

8. Financial Disclaimer

Expense & Save is a personal-finance tracking tool. It is not a bank, a broker-dealer, a registered investment adviser, or a tax professional. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Consult a qualified professional before making any financial decision.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹1,000 if you paid nothing).

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, logo, name and content (excluding the data you enter), is owned by Expense & Save and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

11. User Content

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

12. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of security vulnerabilities. Scheduled maintenance, emergency fixes, or events beyond our reasonable control may temporarily affect availability. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from Profile & Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law. On termination, the licence granted to you ends immediately, but sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to applicable law, any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Expense & Save regarding the Service.
